The Cleveland Browns had to send Odell Beckham, Jr. home sick Thursday

There was a bit of a scare for the Cleveland Browns on Thursday as Odell Beckham, Jr. had to be sent home with an illness. He has been up to date with COVID-19 testing but the team is still taking no chances, which is smart.

Beckham reportedly has another test pending now as the team wants to ensure he’s healthy and the rest of their players are safe. Any time a player is ill, teams take extra precautions as it’s been easy to see how quickly this virus can spread and the impact it can have on the football season.

Other teams have had to shut down operations such as the Atlanta Falcons. The Tennessee Titans have also had to shut things down and even had to reschedule a game with the Steelers due to the COVID virus.

Hopefully, all will be well with Beckham. The story on him, and more, can be found in today’s Daily Dawg Tags.

Odell Beckham sent home from Browns practice with illness, COVID-19 test results still pending — John Breech, CBS Sports

"“The Cleveland Browns had to go through practice on Thursday without Odell Beckham Jr., who was sent home after coming down with an illness. The big question for the Browns is whether or not Beckham has contracted COVID-19 and it’s a question that hasn’t been completely answered just yet.”"

Cleveland had a rash of false-positive tests earlier this season, but this is their first scare since then.

For the Browns, Trying Everything May Finally Lead to Something — Mike Tanier, NY Times

"“Cleveland’s results may not have followed the analytics strategist Paul DePodesta’s initial vision, but a 4-1 record is math anyone can do.”"

The Browns really seem to finally be turning a corner and while people can point to their struggles from 2016 through 2019, no one will care as long as their success this season continues.

Steelers coming off high-horse to target Baker Mayfield’s ribs

The Steelers sure love to point fingers when someone does them wrong but they like to play dumb when it comes to them being bullies. This is why it’s hypocritical that Cam Heyward is openly saying he will “punish” Baker Mayfield’s ribs. But hey, at least they’re consistent.
