3. S Jabrill Peppers

Oh how lovely a reunion with former first round pick and safety Jabrill Peppers would be for the Browns. As Woods has stated he wants to run more big nickel than his current roster allows him to, who better to take on that role than the former Brown himself in Peppers? A part of the blockbuster Odell Beckham Jr. trade, Peppers was shipped to New York, but as they are now presumably pulling the plug on the season, Cleveland should inquire about bringing him back.

Besides, Berry was a part of the team that drafted Peppers in the first place. While they have young safeties in Karl Joseph, Ronnie Harrison, and the injured rookie in Grant Delpit, it does not seem likely at this point that Joseph will return to Cleveland in 2021 as he has looked limited in coverage. Needing three safeties to run big nickel, the Browns could run with Delpit, Harrison, and Peppers for the future.

He still has one year beyond the 2020 season as the Giants picked up his fifth year option, so the Browns would have time to decide if Peppers would be a part of the long-term plan.

However knowing Berry, the Browns may look to get ahead of the market and work a new deal with Peppers upon arrival if given the chance. If the door is open, Peppers would be welcome back with open arms.
