If anyone didn’t know who Donovan Peoples-Jones was before Week 7, they probably do now. The Cleveland Browns sixth-round pick has been considered a steal by those who paid attention during the team’s training camp and on Sunday, he finally showed the rest of the world why we were excited.

DPJ was on the receiving end of the best play of the game as he caught a 24-yard pass from Baker Mayfield that won them the game over Cincinnati. And it wasn’t just casual fans who were watching, as one of the more famous people in the entire world chimed in.

Former Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James (who just won an NBA title with the Los Angeles Lakers) shouted out to DPJ after the play. And Peoples-Jones was happy to see one of his favorite players noticing him.

That story and more can be found in today’s Daily Dawg Tags.

Browns wide receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones (aka ‘Mr. Reliable’) earns shoutout from LeBron James, praise from teammates, coaches — Dan Labbe, Cleveland.com

"“(LeBron James) is my favorite player, my favorite basketball player of all time,” Peoples-Jones said. “I think he is the best of all time. That felt good that he was watching and supporting.”"

Peoples-Jones was helping the Browns replace Odell Beckham, Jr. who was lost to a torn ACL early in the game. DPJ and Rashard Higgins each got more time in the game and they both stepped up and delivered. After the game, Peoples-Jones was being praised from all over the place, and it was well-deserved.

"“Obviously, it’s a big loss,” Browns coach Kevin Stefanski said Monday. “As everyone knows, he is a huge part of what we do. Now we will just have to huddle up and find some different ways and find some different people and put them in that role. Ultimately, we are just trying to do what our players do best. That is our job to figure that out.”"

While many of us were asking why Baker Mayfield has better numbers without Odell Beckham, head coach Kevin Stefanski was talking up how much he does for this offense. And with Beckham gone, Stefanski knows it will be a team effort for this offense to replace his production.
