3 moves Cleveland Browns should have made prior to deadline
By Grant Puskar
No. 2: Foyesade Oluokun
The Browns are desperate and gasping for air on defense. After getting past a handful of starters on this defense, everybody else has to improve at a fast rate if they want to have any shot at competing for anything this season.
Foyesade Oluokon is playing for a Falcons team that is struggling this season. The Browns could have swooped in and made a reasonable offer for the former 6th rounder, as the Falcons are staring rebuild dead in the eyes, and it would have given the Browns help at the linebacker position, something they desperately need.
Oluokon had one monster game this season against Dallas, where he forced three fumbles in just the first half alone. Out of all three players I have listed in this piece, this addition may have been the most expensive one. When I say expensive, I don’t mean anything crazy.
A 4th or 5th may have even been able to do the trick, and a fourth is the highest pick I would have wanted to let go of prior to the deadline. Oluokon does not have crazy numbers, but he is on track to have the best season of his young career so far. It may be tough to watch the Browns linebackers play the rest of the season based off of their play so far, so we will see if not getting a cheaper linebacker comes back to be extremely painful or not.
