During the Cleveland Browns win over the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 7, they lost one of their best players. On their first offensive possession, Odell Beckham, Jr. suffered a knee injury when attempting to make a tackle following a Baker Mayfield interception.

Cleveland went on to win that game, and Mayfield had a dominant performance after shaking off the early pick, but the news on OBJ after the game was bad. The team believed he had torn his ACL and an MRI the day after confirmed as much.

On Tuesday, Beckham had surgery to repair the ACL, and things were successful. Now, he’s on the road back to recovery. That story and more highlight today’s Daily Dawg Tags.

Browns sign CB Stephen Denmark, C Javon Patterson to practice squad — ClevelandBrowns.com

"“The Cleveland Browns have signed CB Stephen Denmark and C Javon Patterson to their practice squad. The team also released C Evan Brown and CB Prince Smith from its practice squad and placed WR Ryan Switzer on the practice squad/injured list.”"

Cleveland is churning the practice squad but the most notable thing here is the loss of Ryan Switzer. A former Pittsburg Steeler and Dallas Cowboy, he seemed to be a player with some upside when signed but may never see the field for the Browns.

Browns will be okay if they have to start Case Keenum

We should know on Wednesday whether or not Mayfield can be removed from the COVID-19 list, but Cleveland is set up with one of the best backups in the game.
