Stud: Wyatt Teller, Right Guard

Nick Chubb was back in Week 10 but the running back wasn’t the only stud the Browns got back on Sunday as Wyatt Teller was also back on the field. A calf injury cost him the past three games and with him out, the offense wasn’t as dominant on the ground. He proved right out of the gates that he hasn’t missed a step as he was a huge part of clearing the way for both Chubb and Kareem Hunt on the team’s opening 12 play 52-yard drive.

Seven of those plays were runs as the Browns had 39 yards — 19 from Chubb and 20 from Hunt. The running backs get the glory, but maulers such as Teller do the dirty work that doesn’t always go noticed.

Not everything was great for Teller in his return, which is expected. On the opening drive of the second half for the Browns, Tretter was unable to hold off Corey Liuget who made a move and was instantly past Teller which led to a sack of Baker Mayfield. The Browns then faced a third-and-long which was simply a screenplay that led to a punt.

The downs didn’t stick around for long though as Teller was a big part of the Browns closing things out in the second half. He was the guy who was opening holes for Chubb and Hunt as they closed the game out and even had one play in the final drive where he blocked two players at once.

Teller is a player who brings an edge to the line and it was fun having him back on the field in this one. Not only does his play help, but his style of play is contagious and leads to the whole line playing at a higher level.
