3. Garrett continues his dominance

No one benefited from the bye-week more than Myles Garrett. After tweaking his ankle a few weeks prior, Garrett was still a great player, but just not his dominant self in the last three weeks. Boy was that different on Sunday vs. the Texans. Garrett had six tackles, of which four were solo and two were tackles for loss. Not to mention another half of a sack to his name.

Perhaps the biggest play of the game was made by Garrett as well. On a fourth and goal from the two-yard line in the first half, Garrett blew up a designed draw the keep the Texans at zero points. Garrett had multiple other pressures and returned to form which was great to see.

The Eagles have been one of the most wounded teams all season, especially at the tackle position. Both Jason Peters and Lane Johnson have missed game time because of injuries, and even when they have played, they haven’t been fully healthy. Even though Johnson is one of the best in the game, expect a two-sack game from Garrett. One of those will be a strip-sack as well, as Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz will try too hard to make something out of nothing.

Unfortunately for Garrett, Aaron Donald continues to play out of his mind for the Los Angeles Rams, but another huge week will certainly keep him in the Defensive Player of the Year conversation. Look for Garrett to keep the defense playing well after they finally looked like an NFL unit for the first time all season.
