2. Ward returns, creates a turnover

The two things that have made this Cleveland Browns defense look remotely capable this season has been their pass rush from Myles Garrett and Olivier Vernon and the opportunistic plays in the secondary from Denzel Ward and Ronnie Harrison.

While Garrett and Vernon have still been playing hard, the Browns have been without Ward for three weeks and Harrison for the past two. The safety won’t be returning as he’s been placed on the IR but there’s hope Ward can return as early as this week.

"“The Browns have missed their star cornerback Denzel Ward for the last three games, but it sounds like he’ll be back sooner than later. Head coach Kevin Stefanski said during his Tuesday press conference that he’s confident Ward will return to the practice field this week” — Myles Simmons, Pro Football Talk"

Should Ward stay on track to play, the Browns defense will look much better. His ability to take away the best receiver on the opposing team was sorely missed, especially in this game against Baltimore. There were several plays, including the deep touchdown to Marquise Brown that Ward simply won’t surrender.

Not only that but he knows how to break on the ball. Ward has 15 pass defenses and two picks this season. This bold prediction is that he will not only play, but he will also turn the ball over for this defense — something they need desperately.
