1. Mayfield again shines in prime time

The main thing just about every Cleveland fan took away from the Week 14 loss was that Baker Mayfield can perform against anyone. The Browns starting quarterback wasn’t perfect as his 28-of-47 stat line indicates. He also threw a terrible interception that resulted in a touchdown for the Ravens.

But he also had 343 yards, two passing touchdowns, and a rushing touchdown late that put them ahead. When faced with a tough defense, the bright lights, and a two-score deficit after his gaffe, Mayfield put his foot on the gas and gave his team a chance to win.

While some may still want to put the blame on him, Mayfield deserves a lot of credit for that game. He gave them a shot even without players such as Odell Beckham. Jr. and Austin Hooper. And if the defense could have made one stop, he likely would have secured the win over Baltimore — something many thought would have been impossible a few short weeks ago.

Of course, Mayfield isn’t the kind of guy who will look at it this way. Instead, he will be frustrated by the loss and will be committed to improving against the Giants.

This final bold prediction is that he does just that. While he won’t throw for 343 yards again, this final bold prediction is that Mayfield will cross 250 yards with another multiple touchdown game and no picks — while completing more than 75 percent of his passes.

That would be enough to quiet even the staunchest Mayfield hater for at least a week. Right?
