1. Baker Mayfield, Quarterback

There’s no secret that the key to being successful in the NFL is strong quarterback play.  There is perhaps no more important position in professional sports that change the outcome of a game. I used to joke that Tom Brady could have taken so many of the 4-12 Browns teams and made them 10-6. Now maybe that is crazy to some, but I still believe it.

Mayfield is likely on the best three-game stretch of his career. And even though the Browns lost last week to the Ravens and he had the one interception, his performance was nothing less than brilliant on Monday night football.

With the Giants only giving up just over 100 yards per game on the ground, Mayfield will once again be a crucial part of getting the win in the prime-time slot. Look for Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt to get plenty of looks, but the intermittent passing and screen game is going to be huge for the offense to be successful.

With back to back games vs. great opponents, Mayfield must prove his doubters wrong the last three games of the season. He must be careful not to force, or turnovers will happen.

But if he just plays his game and takes what the defense gives him, look for the Browns offense to be successful and come away with their 10th win of the season. Oh, and let’s try and avoid the intentional grounding penalty this week.
