3. WR Breshad Perriman

A player who’s no stranger to Browns fans, Breshad Perriman is the kind of receiver who this Browns secondary has the potential to struggle with. A dangerous deep threat, Perriman has the ability to change the dynamic of a game with one play.

Perriman was a fan favorite in Cleveland as he resurrected his career with the Browns and helped Baker Mayfield find his footing as an NFL quarterback. He has bounced around for the last several years, but his talent is undeniable and he will command attention from the Browns secondary to avoid giving up the kind of big-play that could give the Jets life in a game like this.

Perriman has had an underwhelming 2020 campaign from a statistical standpoint, but he’s also missed some time due to injury and had sub-par quarterback play all season long. On a team that doesn’t have much in the way of weapons, Perriman is one of the few players who can make things difficult for this Browns defense.

Having CB Denzel Ward back in the secondary will help dramatically when it comes to shutting down the Jets passing game, and he will likely draw Perriman on a fair number of his defensive snaps. If Ward and CB Terrance Mitchell can shut down Perriman on the outside, it could be a very long day for this depleted New York offense.
