Cleveland Browns land cornerback and EDGE in 7-round mock

The offensive line in Cleveland went through a lot of players this past season due in large part to injuries. Jedrick Wills and Jack Conklin both missed time as did their primary backup, Chris Hubbard. Even Kendall Lamm went down which forced the Browns into kicking guards out to play tackle.
In the end, Bill Callahan proved his worth as the offensive line coach as his unit took on every challenge and succeeded. Still, they can use more depth which leads to the selection of James Hudson in the fifth.
Hudson is a developmental prospect but checks all the boxes when it comes to size, length, power, and athleticism.
Another defensive tackle is added at this point with the Browns simply looking to add depth while taking the best player available. Brown was solid in his first two seasons with the Aggies but in 2020, he broke out with 22 tackles, 7.5 for a loss, and 5.5 sacks.
He’s a one-technique as well, meaning he might not be guaranteed a roster spot but at this point, you start looking for players who might be a hidden gem. Brown is considered a player who can disappear at times, but if he can be coached up, he might be a find.
Back to the offensive line, Cleveland uses their final pick in this 2021 NFL Mock Draft on UCLA center Paul Grattan. Listed at 6-foot-4 and 300-pounds, Grattan played both guard and center, something that could help him as he looks to catch on with an NFL team.
Grattan plays with a bit of an edge and is known for setting the tone in the Bruins offense. That’s something that can be contagious.
