1. Rondale Moore, WR, Purdue

The Browns moved up to pick No. 52 to land JOK, who should have gone much, much earlier (he would’ve been a good selection at No. 26; getting him at No. 52 is highway robbery). Three spots ahead of the Browns, the Arizona Cardinals, in desperate need of help in the secondary, decided to make their offense borderline unstoppable by adding a player that Kevin Stefanski was likely very interested in, Purde dynamo Rondale Moore.

He is instantly one of the NFL’s best athletes and has true game-breaking ability. He can turn any touch into a long score and should hopefully be utilized much better in Arizona than he was in college.

Imagining what Stefanski would be able to do with a rare talent like Moore was enjoyable for a few months, but that dream has been killed. Instead, the Browns ended up with Schwartz, whose 4.25 speed will be a weapon, but he is in need of much refinement at the position, and does not have the elite short-area quickness and change of direction ability that Moore does.

It would have been great for the Browns to land one or more of these three prospects, but given how well they drafted anyway, they’ll be just fine.
