Round 6, Pick No. 211: Garrett Wallow, LB, TCU

If Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah were a traditional linebacker, there’s no way the Cleveland Browns would be adding another in this draft. They simply don’t value the position near enough — which makes sense considering they ideally want two on the field for the majority of the game.

However, JOK is more of a hybrid player so that means they could still look to add a linebacker who would be capable of challenging the players already on the roster. That’s why pick No. 211 is spent on TCU’s Garret Wallow.

Like JOK, he’s undersized at 6-foot-2 and 220-pounds but he played a more traditional role for the Horned Frogs. Still, he brings in solid coverage ability which is the main thing the linebackers in Cleveland need to improve upon.

Round 7, Pick No. 257: Alaric Jackson, OG, Iowa

Chris Hubbard filled in at guard for the Browns early in the season when Wyatt Teller was injured but he too suffered an injury as he tore ligaments in his knee. It was a terrible way to see his season end, especially after he had so successfully turned things around following a disastrous 2019 campaign.

Should he return to health, he will likely remain the top interior reserve while competing with D’Ante Smith who we added in this mock for the swing tackle position as well. Of course, with his age and the severity of the injury there are no guarantees so the Browns use a seventh-round pick on Alaric Jackson as an insurance policy at guard.

Jackson is a powerful lineman who is massive at 6-foot-6 and 321-pounds. He also played at Iowa where solid offensive tackles and guards are produced at a high rate.

However, he has a lot to improve in his game but if Callahan can get him to maximize his physical tools, he could help them ease Hubbard back into the rotation.
