Round 4, Pick 110: James Hudson, OT, Cincinnati

For just the second time during the draft, Cleveland went for an offensive player as they took James Hudson from Cincinnati with their first pick on Day 3. It’s easy to look past this one since it’s a fourth-rounder and sometimes mid-round O-lineman aren’t flashy.

But that doesn’t mean it wasn’t a solid move. Hudson has tremendous upside and held his own after transitioning from D-tackle to the offensive line. He also made the move from Michigan to Cincinnati.

There are parts of his game that need to be cleaned up but the Browns have arguably the best offensive line coach in the game right now in Bill Callahan. Hudson will give them a great replacement for Kendall Lamm who was lost in free agency.

Grade: B+

Round 4, Pick 132: Tommy Togiai, DT, Ohio State

Cleveland doesn’t draft Ohio State players as often as fans would like but they did here — and they got a good one. Tommy Togiai gives them a reserve three-technique who can play behind Malik Jackson.

In seven games last season, Togiai had 23 tackles and three sacks. He’s still raw and has just 22 games under his belt but he has enough talent to become a starter down the road should he be able to reach his full potential.

Grade: B+
