The Daily Dawg Tags bring you all the Cleveland Browns news you need to know including a look at the most important training camp battles

On offense, the Cleveland Browns are looking solid with all 11 starters coming back. However, on defense, there are all but two spots up for grabs.

That means there will be plenty of camp battles to watch when the team kicks off training camp on July 27th.

Today’s featured article in the Daily Dawg Tags looks at what battles might be the most entertaining this year.

What position battles am I most looking forward to at Browns training camp? There are many — Ellis L. Williams, Cleveland.com

"“Figuring out JOK’s true competition gets complicated the moment Woods deploys three safeties. If a 4-2-5 truly becomes the Browns’ base defense, then JOK must beat out Jacob Phillips and Mack Wilson, which he is capable of, but rookie linebackers tend to struggle.”"

There’s also a battle between Greedy Williams and Greg Newsome for the starting cornerback spot that will grab some attention, but it’s not just defense that we should be paying attention to. All 11 offensive starters are back but there could be a new player involved as a third wide receiver with Rashard Higgins, Donovan Peoples-Jones, and rookie Anthony Schwartz all in the mix.

Browns: 3 players who can be first time All-Pros in 2021 — Chad Porto, Factory of Sadness

"“Nick Chubb”“It’s kinda shocking that Nick Chubb hasn’t been an All-Pro player yet. He’s a two-time Pro Bowler and is arguably the best pure-runner in the NFL today, regardless of position, but Chubb is constantly being passed over by other running backs.”"

The other players selected by Porto are Denzel Ward and John Johnson — with Johnson also serving as a surprise for never making it to the All-Pro team.
