Cleveland Browns studs and duds: Kevin Stefanski lets team down in Week 5 loss

Cleveland Browns Stud: Donovan Peoples-Jones
Our own Elliot Kennel said recently that the Cleveland passing game needed to get Donovan Peoples-Jones involved more. Perhaps the coaching staff took his advice because No. 11 was the top wide receiver in the game in terms of targets (six), receptions (five), and yards (70). He finished behind only David Njoku in each category on Sunday which was a welcome sign.
Cleveland might not have pulled out the win but they found several things on offense that we thought could be a factor leading up to the season, namely DPJ finding his groove on offense. Here’s to hoping they carry that over to Week 6.
Cleveland Browns Dud: Fourth Downs
Fourth downs continue to be an issue for the Browns, although this time it was mainly on defense. Offensively, they were 1-of-3 on fourth down attempts, although the last one was a desperation pass to the end zone. On defense, it was much worse as the Chargers went for it three times on fourth and converted all of them.
Worse was they weren’t just fourth-and-one plays either. Some of them were deep conversions and even one of those stops could have changed the course of this game.
In the end, Cleveland fell to 3-2 and while it’s disheartening, they have to realize they lost to a good team on the road and try to improve from this one.
