Cleveland Browns land Jordan Davis in 7-round 2022 NFL Mock Draft

Cleveland Browns Round Round 5 Pick: Demani Richardson, S, Texas A&M
The Browns safeties haven’t lived up to expectations just yet in 2021 but there’s plenty of reason to believe they will. John Johnson III is still a very talented player and Grant Delpit has shown flashes and will only get better with time.
Still, they need to continue to build the depth there as well, which leads to the selection of Demani Richardson from Texas A&M. The 6-foot-1, 210-pound Richardson is versatile enough to play either safety spot, which makes him a great fit as a reserve in this defense.
Cleveland Browns Round Round 6 Pick: Jarrett Patterson, IOL, Notre Dame
J.C. Tretter has been a great center for the Browns but it seems like only a matter of time until he gets put under the microscope due to his contract. Cleveland already drafted Nick Harris in 2019 from Washington as a possible replacement and now, we add Jarrett Patterson from Notre Dame.
Patterson has played all over the line for the Irish and while he’s best suited at center, his knowledge of other spots should help him make the 53-man roster.
Cleveland Browns Round Round 7 Pick: Jayden Daniels, QB, Arizona State
No, this is not a knock on Baker Mayfield. The Browns are fine at quarterback and not ready to make a move. Having said that, it’s always a good idea to keep churning the bottom of the roster at the most important position, which is why Jayden Daniels from Arizona State is the pick.
Daniels is a dual-threat quarterback who needs to get better with his accuracy but he’s done nothing but win wherever he goes. Could be a guy to develop as a No. 2 option and if he looks good in a couple of years, he could be a valuable trade piece.
