Baker Mayfield had three turnovers and the Cleveland Browns defense was a mess as they were blown out by the Arizona Cardinals in Week 6

In front of their home crowd, the Cleveland Browns were blown out of the stadium as the Arizona Cardinals won by a score of 37-14.

It was a game that had so many things go wrong for Cleveland. There were several injuries, including one where Kareem Hunt had to be carted off the field. There were also several turnovers including three from Baker Mayfield.

There were also some blown coverages on defense and a complete inability to tackle the runner as well. In summary, it was a terrible game as the Browns fell to 3-3.

As hard as it is, we look back over the frustrating loss and identify some of the studs and duds from the Week 6 outing.

Cleveland Browns Dud: The reserve tackles

Cleveland continues to deal with injuries at a high rate and on Sunday, they were without their starting tackles as both Jedrick Wills and Jack Conklin missed the game. In their place were Blake Hance and James Hudson.

Hudson especially struggled but overall, the whole line had problems. Baker Mayfield spent much of the day running away from pressure and while the three turnovers he had were on him, the poor blocking on the edge didn’t help him any.

Cleveland Browns Dud: Denzel Ward, CB

During the second drive of the game for Arizona, Denzel Ward was called for pass interference when he wrapped his arms around A.J. Green as he was trying to knock the ball away on a second-and-10. As if that wasn’t enough, he was again flagged on the same drive, this time on a third-down where John Johnson nearly picked a pass off.

That gave the Cardinals new life and it ended with DeAndre Hopkins juking Grant Delpit out of his shoes en route to a touchdown, putting Cleveland in a 14-0 hole just 11 seconds into the second quarter.
