Reason No.1 for Cleveland Browns fans to be optimistic this season: Team chemistry being built

It’s been well documented this offseason that both the offense and defense units of the team have been treated by their team leaders Deshaun Watson and Myles Garrett to team bonding trips to various destinations. Watson took his offensive unit down to the Bahamas two weeks ago and Garrett took his defensive teammates to Miami this past weekend.

Watson has also gone out of his way to pay back a player like linebacker Anthony Walker for giving him his jersey No. 4 by showering him with expensive gifts like a Rolex watch and donations to Walker’s father’s high school he works at in Miami.

The Browns players seem more engaged in activities and supporting all members of the team — heck, they even finally all showed up to voluntary OTAs this year. While there have been discussions in the past of some divide in the locker room, the team and its players are trying hard to eliminate any more divisions.

It’s difficult to get a whole team and its 53-man roster on the same page each and every moment of a season but the things we’re seeing now are all good to observe.

Hopefully, this happy time of the offseason will roll on through the regular season and make for a closer and more focused squad.
