When does Cleveland Browns 2022 training camp start?

The Cleveland Browns are approaching training camp in late July, but when do all the practices begin, and what’s open to the public?

It’s that time of year again — Cleveland Browns training camp.

After many long months of the NFL offseason, teams are about to start the real work toward the regular season. As for the Browns, they have a lot of new faces to work with and will need to take advantage of every snap in practice.

But when does training camp actually begin?

Cleveland players will report to Berea on July 27. However, the first true practice doesn’t start until July 30. That practice will be open to the public, as will many others.

Camp ends on August 16, which is right in the middle of the preseason.

The Browns will hopefully have some answers to the questions surrounding Deshaun Watson by the time they report to camp, but the good news is, they have already gotten a lot of work with him as well as reserves Jacoby Brissett and Josh Dobbs — and Watson is continuing to work on his own with hopes he can play in 2022.

Unlike 2021, practically the entire offense showed up for the voluntary workouts, which puts them in an excellent spot. There have been a lot of changes but the faces will not be unfamiliar for the staff.

When does the preseason begin?

Cleveland will play two preseason games on the road, the first being August 12 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Preseason Week 2 will be at home against the Philadelphia Eagles on August 21 but they will be back on the road to close out the exhibition games on August 27 against the Chicago Bears.
