Cleveland Browns mailbag: Who could the tough camp cuts be?
By Jacob Roach
Do you feel like our defense will have less of a learning curve this year or do you feel like it will take 7-9 games this year again to be working together? -@jeckon76
I think that they won’t need a lot of time to work well together, when you look at the core of this defense it is mainly the same guys. The defensive tackles are different but most of the players that need to have big roles are returning.
A guy like Grant Delpit should be even stronger having some experience and another year on the Achilles. If this defense is healthy I expect them to be firing on all cylinders out the gate.
With the changing of starting quarterbacks does Kevin Stefanski continue to call plays? And if so do you think he changes the offense because of it? @thebrownieelf1
Yeah, I definitely think Kevin Stefanski will continue to call plays, especially as this offense changes and evolves with Deshaun Watson. To start the season if Jacoby Brissett plays you will see a very similar offense to last season with a lot of run plays setting up the pass.
However, it will be a different story with Watson at quarterback as we saw in minicamp. With Watson, you will see a lot more shotgun, some pistol, and a more potent and attacking-style passing game.
