Question No. 2 – Who will be wide receiver no. 2?

Heading into 2021, the Browns had the most overvalued wide receiver room in the history of the NFL. I exaggerate slightly, but it was pretty bad. Now with Odell Beckham and Jarvis Landry gone, the room is being rebuilt around Amari Cooper.

Cooper is a far superior receiver than either OBJ or Landry, but I still struggle with the No. 2 spot on the roster. Donovan Peoples-Jones continues to be a huge question mark for me. I wouldn’t be shocked to see him have 900 yards receiving and 10 touchdowns, or 400 yards receiving and three touchdowns.

The bottom line is the consistency just hasn’t been there. If this team really wants to have a shot at competing for a Super Bowl, I think Berry needs to add another veteran piece to the equation. It doesn’t need to be a guy making $10 million plus, but someone who has legitimate NFL experience.

The name flying around the most is Will Fuller. Not only does he have connections to Deshaun Watson, but he is also the perfect fit for this offense. At this point, the question mark on Watson’s suspension and Fuller’s injury history are likely keeping the two sides apart.
