Wide Receiver No. 1: Cole Beasley

A 10-year veteran, Cole Beasley started his career with the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent and spent the past three seasons with the Buffalo Bills.

In his final two seasons with Buffalo, Beasley caught 82 passes in each campaign. For his career, he’s collected 550 catches for 5,709 yards and scored 34 touchdowns. Beasley has as much experience as any other wideout discussed here and on top of that, he was selected to the AP All-Pro Team Second-Team back in 2020.

He truly enjoyed his time in Buffalo and shared as much in a recent tweet to the fans of the team.

Beasley requested a trade in March after the receiving corps became too crowded and the team decided to release him not long after that. That release saved the Bills over $6.1 million, and Beasley originally might have seemed too costly for the Browns at first but now the experienced slot receiver could be willing to take less to ensure he can play this season.

In Cleveland, his ability to play in the slot is a huge plus. After moving on from Jarvis Landry, they don’t have anyone who has truly excelled in this role. Beasley is incredibly sure-handed and has been rather durable in his career — both traits the Browns need at the current moment.
