Browns vs. Jets: Prediction and odds for Week 2

A huge weight was lifted off the backs of the entire Cleveland Browns organization when Cade York knocked in a 58-yard field goal to defeat the Panthers. It was their first win in Week 1 since 2004, but it’s not the only frustrating statistic that can go the way of the buffalo this season.

In Week 2, the Browns could find themselves sitting at 2-0 for the first time since 1993, which would also be a welcome change for this organization. The stage is set for them to do exactly that with the New York Jets heading to Cleveland for the opener at First Energy Stadium.

Browns vs. Jets Odds Week 2

Cleveland was an underdog for much of Week 1 but then it became a “pick-em” game by Sunday. Now, they’re sitting at 5.5-point favorites over the Jets, who are coming off a loss against Baltimore.

The moneyline stands at +205 for the Jets while Cleveland is sitting at -250. Again, this isn’t expected to be a high-scoring game with the over/under at 40.5

Browns vs. Jets Prediction Week 2

New York had a frustrating start to the season as they were handed a 24-9 loss by the Baltimore Ravens. Their offense never really got going, and that could be a problem for them again in Week 2.

Not only is it likely that Joe Flacco will be back under center while Zach Wilson recovers, but the Jets are turning to reserves at both offensive tackle positions. Last week, Myles Garrett had his way with Ikem Ekwonu, who was the No. 6 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. Max Mitchell and George Fant might offer him even more opportunities to wreak havoc.

Jacoby Brissett should also be better after knocking off some rust in Week 1 and the running game will continue to be impressive. Add all that up and this is an easy win 27-13.
