No. 1: D’Ernest Johnson, RB

To begin the season, I thought the running back the Cleveland Browns would move on from was Kareem Hunt. But once again, he has already proven how valuable he is behind Nick Chubb.

While Chubb is patient and waits for the hole, Hunt sees a gap and just explodes running with no regard for his body which is fantastic and terrifying all at the same time.

Unfortunately, with the stacked running back room, D’Ernest Johnson is struggling to make the game-day roster, let alone get any touches. It isn’t because Johnson isn’t capable, but just a case of too much talent in the room.

Having three solid running backs is never bad, but let’s not forget that the rookie, Jerome Ford, has also shown flashes of greatness during the preseason. I see a team that has an injury or two willing to give up a decent amount (for a running back anyway) for Johnson’s services.

Look at a team like Buffalo, they have an okay running back in Devin Singletary, but Johnson would be a huge upgrade and may take some of the pressure off Josh Allen running the football so much. The Bills are also a team with a ton of depth on offense so you could get a wide receiver like Jamison Crowder who is buried behind talent and could likely be the third guy in Cleveland.
