1. The Development of Jacoby Brissett

Let’s be honest, Jacoby Brissett didn’t get off to the best start this season. He looked shaky in his only preseason appearance, and he didn’t give Browns fans much to root for in Week 1 despite the win over Carolina.

However, Brissett continues to improve on a weekly basis, highlighted by his great showing in Week 3 against the Steelers. Brissett has improved upon his passer rating every week this season and has clearly developed in his understanding of the Browns’ offense. If he can build upon his performance in Week 3, Cleveland will be in excellent shape against the Falcons in Week 4.

Brissett and Amari Cooper have shown some great chemistry in recent weeks, with Cooper recording at least 100 yards and a touchdown in two consecutive weeks. The next step for Brissett is to get some of his secondary receivers involved, as Donovan Peoples-Jones and David Bell have received very few chances this season.

As of now, the trio of Jacoby Brissett, Amari Cooper, and Nick Chubb are carrying the offense, and they’re doing a great job at just that.

However, at some point, Brissett will be forced to utilize his other options, and it’s important that he builds that chemistry early in the season. The time for that may come this Sunday, as one of the league’s best cornerbacks, A.J. Terrell, may be tasked with shadowing Amari Cooper throughout the game. Keep an eye on how Jacoby Brissett spreads his targets around in Week 4.
