The Cleveland Browns walked away with another disappointing defeat in Week 4 against the Atlanta Falcons. There were some unfortunate turnovers and the defense was incapable of stopping the Falcons’ rushing attack.

Regardless, there were a number of bright spots on the offensive end in a game where the Browns recorded over 400 total yards. Here’s a look at three offensive standouts from their Week 4 performance against the Atlanta Falcons.

3. Donovan Peoples-Jones

It has been a slow start to the season for Donovan Peoples-Jones, as he only recorded seven catches for 70 yards through the first three weeks of the season. He had his strongest performance of the season on Sunday against the Falcons, catching 5 passes for 71 yards on the day. It was expected that Jacoby Brissett was going to have to turn to his secondary receiving options, as A.J. Terrell was tasked with shutting down Amari Cooper throughout the matchup.

Peoples-Jones ended up being the most effective receiver on the team on Sunday, as Jacoby Brissett found him open on a number of occasions. DPJ showed how valuable he can be as a deep threat on this 42-yard connection with Brissett at the end of the first half:

With the Cleveland offensive scheme, it’s quite clear that they won’t be the type of team to have multiple 1,000-yard receivers this year. However, it is refreshing to see Brissett get receivers other than Cooper involved, as both Peoples-Jones and David Njoku have made their impact felt this season.

Teams are going to continue to highlight Amari Cooper in their defensive game plan, and Brissett will be forced to look to his other options. It is good that he build the chemistry now with those guys, rather than trying to figure it out against teams such as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Buffalo Bills later this season.
