Speaking to the media on Wednesday Deshaun Watson admitted that Kevin Stefanski was a big reason he chose to join the Cleveland Browns.

Deshaun Watson had more than a couple of teams lining up to trade for the former Texans quarterback in the offseason. With a no-trade clause in his contract, it was up to Watson to approve any deal and he ultimately chose to become a member of the Cleveland Browns.

On Wednesday during a media availability, he admitted that head coach Kevin Stefanski was a major reason why.

The Browns are in another rollercoaster season with some media and fans calling for a change at head coach. But with Watson vouching for Stefanski and alluding to his knowledge of the game as a reason for him choosing Cleveland that might be all it takes for his job to be safe.

Watson talked about having a strong connection with the third-year head coach and talked how his even-keel nature being a plus as well.

With only six games with the quarterback, it seems that Watson wants it known that he deserves a full season with Stefanski and believes they can do great things together in the future.

The future of the Cleveland Browns is firmly tied to the success of Deshaun Watson after all the draft picks given up to acquire him as well as the massive extension. If Stefanski is a major selling point for Watson choosing the Browns it is safe to say that he is safe for at least one more season.
