Where will the Cleveland Browns pick in the 2023 NFL Draft?
With the Browns ending their season on Sunday, we look ahead to the NFL Draft. What picks will the Cleveland have come April?
Like many seasons before, the Cleveland Browns saw their season come to an end without qualifying for the playoffs. Sunday’s 28-14 loss to the Steelers saw the Browns lay an egg, finishing 7-10 on the season. Collectively, we are all frustrated with how this 2022 saga went down, hence why the topic of the NFL Draft.
The Browns have many holes on the roster to fill this offseason, and the draft will allow them to add some younger guys and try to develop them into Pro Bowl-caliber players. Andrew Berry will need to make some decisions on how he wants to further build this roster. He hasn’t been as sharp with some of his free-agent signings and draft picks, but that’s another discussion for a different day.
As of this writing, Cleveland is slated to have eight draft picks, with only one undecided on the exact pick number, as they will receive a compensatory third-round pick due to Kwesi Adofo-Mensah being hired by the Vikings last January.
Remember, the Browns are without a first-round pick as they traded away three in the deal that brought Deshaun Watson to Cleveland. That’s not necessarily a bad thing as a lot of key players around the league were drafted outside of the first 32 draft selections.
There will be tons of draft coverage from now until April 27, but one thing is for certain; nobody is ever right as the draft is a giant game of chance.
