Browns could be in the market for a new quarterback coach

Drew Petzing is the current Cleveland Browns quarterback coach but could be on the way out, meaning they could be replacing the position again in 2023
It looks as though the Arizona Cardinals are zeroing in on Jonathan Gannon, the Philadelphia Eagles defensive coordinator, as their next head coach. And according to Albert Breer, this could have an impact on the Cleveland Browns.
Should Gannon land the job, it’s expected he will bring Drew Petzing to Arizona with him. The current quarterback coach in Cleveland, Petzing was on the Minnesota Vikings staff with Gannon. Petzing was there from 2014 through 2019, where they both worked with Kevin Stefanski.

Drew Petzing served in several roles with Minnesota including wide receivers coach. He then headed to Cleveland in 2020 and took the role of tight end coach. He was in that role when he had to miss a game due to the birth of his child which allowed Callie Brownson to serve as a position coach. That made history as she was the first female to ever do so in an NFL game.
He served in that capacity for two seasons before making the move this past season.
If Petzing does leave, Jacob Roach of Browns Wire believes veteran coach Sean Ryan would make a lot of sense as the hire.
Ryan spent two seasons working with Deshaun Watson while on the Houston Texans, which is the main reason for that connection. Watson only got to play with Ryan for seven games during his rookie campaign but did help the quarterback make a triumphant return to the field in 2018.
