The Cleveland Browns not only have a 4-2 record that has them positioned to make a run for the playoffs in 2026, but the Los Angeles Rams crumbling to dust has put them in a position to possibly bring in a quarterback who can steady the ship in the future.
With a quarterback class that could put as many as six players in the first round and a tremendous defensive line group that could help the Browns get stronger in the trenches, 2027 could be Andrew Berry's best chance to add premier talent.
Following this three-round plan might be the best way for Berry to both land some solid value and hit all the major positions of need Cleveland must address to sustain success.
Cleveland Browns 3-round 2027 NFL Mock Draft after 4-2 start
Round 1, Pick 11: Dante Moore, QB, Oregon
Even as names like Oklahoma State's Drew Mestemaker and Notre Dame's CJ Carr start to pull away from the rest of the pack, Cleveland can use the Rams' pick acquired in the Myles Garrett trade to land a franchise quarterback. Though he's been hurt this year, and lacks Todd Monken's desired mobility, Moore, who was born in East Cleveland and grew up in Elyria, has plenty going for him.
The three-headed monster of his deadly accuracy from the pocket, impressive football smarts that let him handle complex responsibilities pre-snap, and the fact that the Ducks' offense has fallen into the pits of Tartarus without him show that he can be a force-multiplying quarterback in the pros. Plus, adding Moore means the end of Deshaun Watson.
Round 1, Pick 26: A'Mauri Washington, DT, Oregon
Moore's college teammate is sorely needed in Cleveland, as the Browns' interior defensive line consists of an injured Mason Graham playing like a fringe All-Pro and a bunch of underperformers trying to hold down the fort until he's healthy. Washington is a brick wall and is maybe the best run-stuffer in this class.
The stylistic contrast between Washington and Graham, who has developed into quite the interior pass rusher, would give the Browns a post-Garrett defensive line they could be proud of.
Round 2, Pick 57: Melvin Siani, OT, Texas
The Browns' remade offensive line has flashed plenty of positivity this season, with two rookies in first-rounder Spencer Fano and third-rounder Austin Barber looking like long-term contributors. Right tackle Tytus Howard may be the starter with the least security, and a pure right tackle like Siani might be all Cleveland needs to dump him.
While raw and an average run blocker right now, Siani is a terrific athlete for the position, and some sharp coaching could get him on the right technical path.
Round 3, Pick 92: Anthony Smith, EDGE, Minnesota
Philosophically, the Browns seem to value bigger edge rushers who can hold their own against the run in a scheme that will almost exclusively feature four down linemen. Smith is not going to be a double-digit sack guy every year, but he and Jared Verse could make for a terrific two-way pass rush combo for years to come.
While he's had a disappointing 2026 season after tallying 12.5 sacks last year, Smith could be a great buy-low candidate.
