The Cleveland Browns have yet to pair their orange jerseys with their orange pants. But will that change during the 2016 NFL season?

The NFL, in a misguided rush to add interest to its slate of Thursday night games, adopted a color rush uniform policy for a handful of games in 2015.

The Cleveland Browns escaped the format for their Thursday night game against the Cincinnati Bengals, but are not going to be as lucky this year as the NFL is expanding the program to all 32 teams.

While some teams have come out and said they will not participate despite the NFL urging everyone to do so, it’s probably not a stretch to believe that the Browns will want to get on board when they travel to Baltimore to take on the Ravens on Nov. 10 in their lone Thursday night appearance of the 2016 NFL season.

That should be quite a sight – especially if the color rush uniforms that leaked out on Twitter last week are to be believed:

If that chart is correct, the Ravens will be in all purple while the Browns will roll out an all-orange uniform for the first time in franchise history.

The Browns debuted their new shade of orange along with their depressingly bad new uniforms in 2015, but did not use the orange jersey and orange pants combination during the season. (It has been said that clothes make the man; maybe the arena league uniforms the Browns are now sporting contributed to last year’s three-win season?)

Oddly enough, while the all-orange combination has an extreme shortage of the color brown – which is only the team’s name – they are without question a better option than wearing the brown jerseys with the brown pants, which we’ve seen the Browns do far too often in recent years. (Although it is not as good as the white-on-white.)

As we’ve seen over the years, Clemson looks pretty good when they pair orange jerseys with orange pants, which means that quarterback Deshaun Watson will feel right at home when he takes over the Browns quarterback position for the 2017 NFL season.

What’s that? We’re getting ahead of ourselves a bit here? OK.

We’ll just have to wait until this fall to see what the Browns have in store for their fans.
