Did Jordan Cameron’s Tweet Tell of His Return?

facebooktwitterreddit

Jordan Cameron has missed quite a few games and would make a huge impact for the Cleveland Browns if/when he is able to return. As we covered in detail this morning Cameron is questionable for tomorrow’s game with the Colts, frustrated and could be a big component of a Browns upset win.

Yet, even though he is questionable for the game, could Cameron have already told us that he is returning with this tweet:

Update: Cameron’s Instagram post was slightly different and could be a bigger sign that he is back this week:

Caption says: “After 5 weeks this elf is coming off the shelf”

“After 5 weeks…” You mean the 5 weeks he has missed? That is an important piece that was missing from his tweet. End Update

A very interesting tweet indeed. If you read through the replies that he got many believe that this is Cameron’s way of signaling that he is back for tomorrow’s game. That fits as Browns reporters noted that Cameron was going to see a neurologist yesterday afternoon who would decide if he could play or not. Since then not a peep from anyone about Cameron, except this tweet.

Obviously that is a lot of reading into one simple tweet. It is why we waited to write about it until this evening. We expected to have some sort of statement from the Browns or from a local reporter. None have come, leading only speculation and only this tweet to give us any bit of information.

With the Colts being without Vontae Davis, their pass defense will already likely struggle. In our Behind the Lines today the Colts NFL site said as much. Josh Gordon could feast. Think how much more the passing game could explode, and open running lanes for the Browns backs, if Cameron was also on the field.

For now we will hope. We will hope that the Elf on the Shelf, adult sized, will come on down from that shelf, throw on a Browns uniform and return to his dominate, Pro Bowl tight end self. We will have to wait and see.
