The Cleveland Browns hold the top selection in the 2018 NFL Draft, which is just 32 days away. That also happens to be the number of the great Jim Brown.
The Cleveland Browns have an opportunity to be the talk of the 2018 NFL Draft as the team holds the first- and fourth-overall selections, along with three selections in the second round.
The draft will take place at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, with the first round being held on April 26.
That is just 32 days away, which also happens to be the number of the greatest running back – and possibly greatest athlete – in NFL history in Jim Brown.
Cleveland selected Brown with the sixth-overall selection in the first round of the 1957 NFL Draft, one of four future Hall of Famers picked in the first eight picks of the first round that year. (The others were Paul Hornung at No. 1 to the Green Bay Packers, Len Dawson at No. 5 to the Pittsburgh Steelers and tackle Jim Parker at No. 8 to the Baltimore Colts.)
Brown would lead the NFL in rushing as a rookie, one of eight times he would be the league’s top rusher in his nine-year career. He set a then single-season record for rushing yards with 1,863 in 1963, and led the NFL in rushing touchdowns five times.
Brown earned four MVP awards and finished his career with 12,312 rushing yards and averaged 5.2 yards per carry, still one of the top marks in league history for a running back. Brown made nine consecutive trips to the Pro Bowl, was an eight-time First Team All-Pro selection, and is still the franchise leader in rushing yards, attempts and touchdowns.
The team commissioned nationally recognized sculptor David L. Demming to create a statue of Brown, which was unveiled at FirstEnergy Stadium in 20167.
If there was ever a running back worthy of being selected high in the first round of the draft it was Brown, simply the greatest running back in NFL history.

NFL news:
Pass interference penalty unlikely to be changed (ESPN)
"A proposal to change the NFL’s defensive pass interference rule to a 15-yard penalty, rather than a spot foul, does not appear to have enough support to pass this week at the league’s owners meetings."
Steelers will handle Bell deal at ‘appropriate time’ (NFL.com)
"Kevin Colbert isn’t concerning himself with Le’Veon Bell’s much-discussed long-term contract aspirations, and for good reason: There’s no need to at this point in time.
