The Daily Dawg Tags brings you all the Cleveland Browns news that you need to know, including the team potentially willing to pay a high price for Odell Beckham.

The Cleveland Browns have been one the teams most often connected to a potential trade of New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.

The Browns have a lot of pieces that would Beckham joining the team work. They have the cap space, a young quarterback that can get the ball to his play-makers and his teammates love, and Beckham’s college coach on staff.

When Beckham was showing his displeasure of being with the Giants, there was a thought that the Browns may try to trade for him at the trade deadline.

However, due to his recently signed contract extension, the Giants would have carried too much dead money to make trading Beckham worth it.

But in today’s featured article, a former NFL quarterback says that the Browns may be willing to pay a high price for the wide receiver.

Odell Beckham Jr. trade talk continues as Browns willing to pay high price for Giants star: report – Pat Leonard, New York Daily News

"Boomer Esiason, the former NFL quarterback and WFAN morning radio host, said toward the end of Wednesday’s “Boomer and Gio” show that he had heard “legitimate discussion” of the Cleveland Browns being a potential suitor willing to pay a high price for OBJ."

The Browns have lacked a game-breaking vertical threat at wide receiver, and Beckham would match exactly what they need. It remains to be seen if the Giants will be willing to trade him and carry a lot of dead cap, but the Browns have the picks necessary to make the move.

How would the Cleveland Browns do against Alabama? – Marc Bona, Cleveland.com

"Sherman has the Browns as a 35.5-point favorite vs. Alabama. Steve Budin of PickNation.com puts the Browns as a 28.5-point favorite and sees no chance for a college team to ever beat an NFL team."

The notion that the best college football team can be competitive against the worst NFL team is ridiculous. And with the improvements the Browns have made in the past season, there is no question that a professional football team would destroy a team full of 20 and 21-year-olds.
