2. Stop their rushing attack

The second thing that the Cleveland Browns must do if they want to win against the Pittsburgh Steelers is to stop their rushing attack. The Steelers have the worst rushing offense in the league in terms of rushing yards per game.

Despite this, it did not stop them from running for 129 yards against the Browns in their first meeting. These 129 yards are 44.7 more than what the Steelers went on to average per game this season.

Although it is still easy to win a game after giving up 129 rushing yards, it is how effective the Steelers were with those yards that killed the Browns.

Even with the Steelers only finishing the game with 129 rushing yards, they had three rushing touchdowns with three different scorers. This shows how effortlessly the Steelers were able to run on the Browns with whoever they wanted.

They were able to dig up reverses and trick plays that worked like a charm against a Browns defense that would end up allowing 38 points.

It is likely that the Steelers will be leaning more on their running game against the Browns this week. Cleveland must come into the game being prepared for that and hold Pittsburgh much closer to their average rushing yards per game instead of what they allowed in their first meeting.

If the Cleveland Browns are able to slow down or halt the Steelers’ run game, they should be able to coast right into the playoffs.
