The Cleveland Browns and their fan base haven't had a lot to be excited about this season. Amidst a 3-8 season that many have already dubbed as "lost," fans cannot help but start looking ahead to the offseason of 2025.

Whether it is trying to answer a question like what's going to happen with the quarterback position and, specifically Deshaun Watson, or assessing the rumors that Kevin Stefanski's job was ever (or is still?) in jeopardy, there are plenty of storylines that will unfold once the regular season is over.

But, one things fans do know, without a doubt, is the fact that this team has yet to give up on the year. Last Thursday, Week 12's edition of Thursday Night Football proved exactly that.

The Browns hosted their division rival, the Pittsburgh Steelers, in a cold weather matchup that saw tons of snow on the field and winds in the air. It was the perfect night for AFC North football, and a perfect night for the Browns to pull off an upset.

if they were going to knock off the previously 8-2 Steelers, they'd need a big night from one of their brightest stars, and boy did they get it. Defensive end Myles Garrett had himself a night, and did the majority of his damage in the first half, alone.

On the night, Garrett totaled five tackles, 3.0 sacks and a forced fumble. The sacks all came within the game's first two quarters, surprisingly enough.

Garrett's performance, in the win, was enough to earn him the AFC Defensive Player of the Week in the most obvious choice in recent memory.

Myles Garrett could be on his way to another NFL Defensive Player of the Year award

The reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year looks to be on his way to being in the conversation for second consecutive honor.

On the season, Garrett has 10.0 sacks, 13 tackles of loss and three forced fumbles.

Asked about the potential of Garrett winning the award once again, Stefanski thinks there's a good shot.

“If you’re asking me, yes, I don’t have a vote, but I think, and I made this point the other day, what he’s able to accomplish with the amount of attention that he gets is truly impressive," the head coach told Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com.

The only question as to whether or not Garrett deserves the award might come down to the fact that he's playing for what will likely end up as a team with a losing record. Will that count much against him?

We'll have to see.
