Browns Vs Titans: Big Fourth Quarter Plays

The Cleveland Browns face off with the Tennessee Titans in a game matching up two teams that each only have one win. A big game for the Browns as they try to right their ship back to a .500 record while the Titans welcome back starter Jake Locker.

Continuing here with the Fourth Quarter:

  •  Jordan Cameron with an amazing catch in tight coverage on the sideline.
    • Brian Hoyer forced the throw in but Cameron’s ability to pull it in was impressive.
  • Browns go for it on 4th down but Hoyer’s pass batted down.
    • Cameron was open during his entire route but Hoyer late in his throw led to tip.
  • Quick 3 and out by Browns defense.
    • Titans seemed to be trying to run clock.
  • On Titans punt Tank Carder blocks the punt, goes out of the endzone for a safety. Huge!
    • Titans 28 – Browns 15
  • Brian Hoyer threw an interception right to a Titan.
    • Andrew Hawkins moved out of his route as Hoyer released the ball.
    • Illegal contact penalty and off-setting personal fouls gives the ball back to the Browns. Hoyer’s INT streak still alive.
  • Touchdown Travis Benjamin with just under 7 minutes left.
    • Hoyer moves around in the pocket making time to let Benjamin uncover.
    • Titans 28 – Browns 22
    • 6:49 left in the game.
  • First Titans offensive play Browns get pressure forces incompletion.
    • First time pressure actually negatively impacted a play.
  • Next play Armonty Bryant gets a sack.
  • Browns take over with 5:14 left and 2 timeouts.
    • 3 straight pass plays lead to nothing.
    • Hoyer throws first INT of the year. “Like a 45 yard punt.”
  • Titans throw on 3 straight plays.
    • Completion to Walker lead to a first down.
    • Huge failure to cover Walker.
  • On third down again the Titans complete a pass.
    • Original call was a first down.
    • Mike Pettine challenges the spot.
    • Browns win the challenge. Titans 4th and a half yard.
  • Titans go for it on 4th down.
    • Browns stood up Whitehurst.
    • First down Browns in Titans territory.
    • Titans challenge the spot. They lose a timeout as the ruling on the field stands.
  • Huge first down pass to Miles Austin for 23 yards.
    • Hoyer went through his progressions to find Austin. Down to the 17 yard line.
    • 2 minute warning.
  • Touchdown Hoyer to Benjamin.
    • Benjamin redeeming himself today as a receiver.
    • Browns 29 – Titans 28
    • 1:09 left in the game.
  • Titans get a  couple first downs but K’Waun Williams sack huge.
    • Small guy blitz finally gets there.
  • Completion in bounds ends the game.
    • Browns win 29 – 28
    • Season changing win is possible. This should galvanize the team.
